Twenty Years. Real Markets. Real Results

I

didn’t write this book from a conference stage or a university office. I wrote it from 20 years of sitting across from business owners, some running Fortune 500 marketing budgets, some running their business from a kitchen table, and watching what works when the rules change.

My career started in the telecommunications industry, leading marketing teams at major corporations where every dollar had to be tracked back to a result and marketing operated as a system, not a series of guesses. After a decade of that, I founded Digital Marketing Experts I with one mission: to bring that same level of thinking to the businesses that need it most but rarely get it.

Since then, I’ve worked with e-commerce brands, financial institutions, real estate lawyers, physiotherapy clinics, HVAC companies, mortgage brokers, and hundreds of small businesses across York Region. Every client story, every framework, and every hard lesson in this book came from that work.

I also founded Shopgram, a social commerce division helping Canadian small businesses turn Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook into direct revenue channels;  not just brand awareness plays.

When I’m not working with clients, I teach. I run regular seminars and workshops through York Small Business Enterprise Centre, the Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, and King Chambers of Commerce, and York University. If you’ve ever sat in one of those sessions, you’ll recognize a lot of what’s in this book.
